An Indian Home in Seattle

Hello all, today I am really glad to finally write an article about my first Flickr friend Anuradha Varma which I wanted to write since few weeks now !! She lives in Seattle and I met her on Flickr around 2 months ago..when I my blog was fairly new.when I saw her albums and her photography skills I fell in love with it.I felt she likes to bring Ethnic Indian Decor in her home in America.she likes collecting brass Ganesha idols, and always finds great stuff at Flea markets and she has good collection of Antique silver articles which she has very well incorporated in the decor of her home.Let take a tour of her home now and her collections now.

Anu says she love buddha statues and this one is the focal point of her living room. and she tries to light the lotus tealight every evening. The warmth of the candle and the serene expression on the Buddha gives her a sense of peace and purpose

Beautiful brass buddha and Ganesha collection...all from her Trip to India.

Just check this out she has used lot of brass articles for the decor..its brings so much warmth in a room and feels so inviting
I just liked this dinning area ... especially the big Laddle on the wall.

I am sure you all would have fell in love with her warm welcoming home .
Thanks Anu for sharing the snaps and giving me an opportunity to post an article .

Art By Aarohi

Hello dear friends,
Today I am so excited to write an article about the most talented person who is a wife and mom of 2 kids and an IT professional and a great artist.I met her on facebook around 2 months ago and I was chatting with her and I felt she is a very friendly person and very confident person. And I was very impressed with her talent of creating beautiful paintings and art work .

A little more about my dear friend ...Aarohi is a self taught artist. What started as an interest in art 15 years ago is now a full fledged profession for this young painter.
She paints in Oil, Acrylics, Watercolor, Pastels and works on Paper, Canvas, Metal, Cardboard, Wood, Fabric. Unlike a lot of artists who prefer to work in one maybe two mediums, Aarohi paints on almost anything.
Art, for an artist is living their lives through their art. Aarohi lives her thoughts, her expressions, the images that have stayed with her through the years on to her canvas.
With her first exhibition at Triveni Kala Sangam in 1994, her talent found instant success and patrons.
Aarohi has been selling her work continously and directly to clients. Her foremost patron has over 15 of her works of fine art.
Here is the link of her website http://www.artbyaarohi.com/

No matter what the medium, Aarohi prefers to paint people, in their myriad moods and colours.Apart from these beautiful water colur, arcylic and Oil paintings

Aarohi also created wonderful kitsch art and converts boring furniture into interesting stuff check these out.You all would fall in Love with it.
Her work as been featured in Times of India Bangalore times news paper,Femina and Outlook Lounge and Elle decor.
Look at this Khiladi Table..it can be used as Coffee table and also used to entertain kids and adults to play a game !! so much isnt it?
Check this Kids wardrobe...so creative...Kids would love to keep there stuff organised by looking at this Jungle themed wardrobe.
Carramboard cum Khiladi table...so awesome right 2 in one.

Kitsch art on Kettle ...I wonder how Aarohi paints on this small kettle by giving equal attention to detail.
Oil Paintings in a Traditional way says "Aarohi "
Beautiful Acrylic Painting of Lord Krishna...looks so real and natural
Pastel Painting of a women

Watercolours paintings they looks so awesome and Real
Thanks to Aarohi for accepting my interest to post an article about her work of art .I feel really fortunate to be given an opportunity to write few words.
Cheers and Good luck to all future projects !!
